The 2016 Olympics open tonight in Rio de Janeiro. It was reported that over 100,000 law enforcement officers, police and military, will be on active duty as protection until the games are over.  What a shame, what a sad comment on the human mentality, that so many people are needed in order to try to keep some idiot from doing something inhumane.  What a waste of money, manpower, and energy that could have been used for creating something good, rather than simply hoping it will prevent something bad.
