…linking intellect and intuition…
Who We Are What We Are

Had a hard time going to sleep last night.  My body was relaxed, no RLS or anything like that, but my mind was extremely awake and actively thinking about the writing.  Here’s what I think I came up with.  Make the quantum physics article the first piece out there… sent as an attachment to a one page How It All Works teaser to Science Editor at NY Times, etc.  Limit to around 5000 words and feature several ‘findings’ that are being put out there for physicists to verify.   Also point out that anyone can do it, but it falls outside scope of this article and reference Handbook, which would be marketed to publishers after article is sold but before it is published. Sounds like a reasonable plan. Also figured I’d ask Matt Durack to do illustrations.   More to come.

Lots going on with Re: Imagine Life. But it’s all about dealing with the death of others.  I wonder if people are even interested and willing to talk about their own impending deaths?

Fabulous day on the hospice circuit.  Met two new clients and family caregivers, both of whom were agnostic but recognized the existence of a singularity in the universe.  Both of them understood when I said that spirit lives on after death, and that “I am” is who we really are and anything we say after that… man, woman, old, young, white, black, etc. is just an adjective.  Therefore, knowing “I am” can lead to an easy and peaceful death.  Nice.

It is Yom Kippur… the Jewish day of Atonement. It’s one thing to profess sorrow and ask forgiveness for wrongs you have committed.  It’s another to commit to not repeating those wrongs in the future.

Woke up today with an amazing realization.  I can write a one-page abstract and send it out everywhere offering my deeper writings and analysis.  Whoever picks it up, I’ll work with them.  If no one picks it up… I guess that’s what was supposed to happen.  Here’s what I wrote today.

How It All Works…

  1. Consciousness… the “I am” feeling each of us experiences within… is the Oneness that fills the Universe. Religion calls it God. Science calls it Dark Matter/Energy. Same Thing. It exists within and without everything in space/time.
  1. Consciousness is the experiential synapse between Inside and Outside. “I” can only experience myself in here if “I” can define something as ‘not self’ out there. No dark without light, no light without dark. This is why nothing exists before the Big Bang.
  1. Consciousness equals the speed of light squared. C = c2. The material universe is created when consciousness sloughs off some of its infinite possibilities at the speed of light to manifest particular conceptual potentials in space/time.
  1. Consciousness equals energy over matter. C = e/m. Matter in space/time is not conscious, but a ‘housing’ for conscious energy. From star to human, a being’s awareness of its inner consciousness is related to its ratio of energy to matter.
  1. Consciousness does not care whether humans continue to exist or not. We will survive as a species based on our ability to co-operate with other existing beings with which we interact and on which we depend. e.g. other humans… Planet Earth.
  1. Event horizons surround all beings in space/time containing Self-conscious awareness. Thus every being experiencing “I am” is a black hole for every other being. This is true for humans or stars. No being can penetrate another’s “I am” from the outside.
  1. We can, however, penetrate celestial event horizons by removing the individual characteristics from our personal event horizons, allowing examination of the commonalities we share that have existed from the beginning of space/time.

Not a bad day.

Okay.  For some silly reason, I seem to have adopted a ‘let’s do this’ rather than a ‘let’s talk about doing this’ attitude and by 2pm today have… driven my wife to her client, gone to the gym and swum a mile, contacted officials about my Oct. 27th presentation, contacted a palliative care physician I’d like to speak to, contacted a doctor I’d like to have an appointment with, cleaned the kitchen, made a lunch, made several on-line Scrabble moves, and am now writing this blog.  No big deal, you say? I disagree.  This leaves me with the whole rest of the day to write and watch baseball.  Go Giants!

Listened to a talk show this morning on KALW, the local NPR station, called, “Dying to Talk”.  It was hosted by a local palliative care doctor and featured the man who is running the Re:Imagine End of Life Week I will be speaking at in two weeks.  This is the second program I’ve heard in this series and both of them were more about dealing with the death of loved ones rather than one’s own death.  I will contact her tomorrow.

The decision has been made.  Hurricane Matthew wins and we are cancelling our trip to Charleston, Savannah, and Southport.  We will reschedule for late April.  This means I will be here prior to the New Consciousness and Peaceful Dying presentation on Oct. 27th and will be able to devote more time to getting all this work out by the end of the year.  There are reasons behind everything whether we know it or not and always a best way to go from here.

Getting some chores out of the way before our planned trip to visit friends and relatives in the southeast… which may not come off because of hurricane Matthew, which is scheduled to hit Savannah, Ga… Charleston, SC … and Southport, NC… the three locations we are/were planning to visit.  There is no ‘reason’ for the trip other than to visit loved ones, so, while we hope nobody is injured and no homes are damaged, even though we are due to land days after the storm hits, perhaps it makes sense to cancel, so we don’t provide an extra burden for those who are going to be faced with the need for clean-up and potential other problems.  They will have enough to think about without focusing on entertaining visitors from San Francisco.  Stay safe.

Amazing how a good night sleep will allow you to wake up with so much more energy than a poor night sleep. And it is good that I feel this way today. So much to do.  Starting with Hospice Day and seeing my patients.

[I’ll continue this when I get back… …which I now am.]

So it’s enter the hospice visits on the computer, get back to the writing, handle trademark renewal, car registration, confirmation letter to venue hosting upcoming talk on New Consciousness and Peaceful Dying, and clean up to go over to friends’ house for dinner.  Fun… fun… fun.
