…linking intellect and intuition…
Who We Are What We Are

Finished the Tao yesterday. Will try to finish the Handbook before we leave next week to visit friends in the Carolinas… right after the monstrous Hurricane Matthew passes through.  Will their homes still be standing?  Will roads be open? Will life be anything like normal?  Stay tuned.

And the work continues.  Writing, editing, tying to get everything ready for a big marketing push at the start of the coming year.  I really look forward to finishing so I can finally clean up my computer desk top. Boy, am I scattered.

Busy, busy morning.  Changed the day of my talk on Peaceful Dying to Thursday Oct 27th to even out events for the week’s programs and changed some typos in the listing.  I am Anton Grosz PhD… not Dr. Antoine Grosz as listed. Also changed an image they used for publicity that looks like something from outer space rather than the bright light one sees at the end of the tunnel. Amazing how energized one can feel after making things happen.

Go down to the beach some night when the moon is full over the water and for a really different perspective on things, don’t think of the moon as “The Moon”.   Sure, that’s what we call it.  But instead, think of it… visualize it… feel it… without a name… as what it is… a huge ball of rock hanging there in space above your head. See if that doesn’t give you a little extra appreciation for the laws of physics.

Had a hard time falling asleep last night.  I kept thinking about The Handbook and a part of it that seemed to be out of place.  And then, suddenly, I saw/felt/realized the solution and how to handle it.  It was simply a case of moving a section from one place to another that would allow the entire project to flow.  At least I thought I was thinking about it.  Maybe it was all a dream.  Who thought about it anyway?  Isn ‘t that what this is all about?

Although the inner and outer worlds are both real, they present I with two very valid experiences having separate and distinct attributes that are polar complementary to each other.

Outer reality can be measured but provides no meaning.

Inner reality provides meaning but cannot be measured.

Another way of saying this… more comprehensive and compatible with the New Consciousness, is that the provable physical outside is non-intuitive, while the intuitive spiritual inside is non-provable. Both are necessary for the full human experience.  And both define Consciousness itself and the nature of the universe.

Mull this over and you’ll find that the human I is not only capable of bridging the gap between inner and outer reality and unifying the two, it is the ultimate unifying experience.   Your I… my I… our ‘I’… exists in-between meaning and measurement. Remember that synapse we discussed? Well… I is that synapse… or I am that synapse… depending on where you are standing when you are looking at it.

“How can you define consciousness?” asked a noted professor at a symposium I once attended on the subject. “You can’t,” he answered himself, “it’s too subjective.”

Yet I would disagree. Although our individual interactions with the world are absolutely unique for each one of us because of the filters that make us who we are on the outside, as we enter the subjective experience… deep within ourselves… past the point where social, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual differences matter in the experiment… we approach a shared common ground.

At our very core we each share the conscious experience of being a unique individual unlike any other individual who ever has, currently does, or ever will walk on this planet. And that feeling is true for everyone… which means that consciousness, itself, is universal, even though the characteristics of each being is different. That’s where New Consciousness comes in.

I went to the gym this morning to swim.  I try to do it at least once a week.  The locker room has several TVs slung below the ceiling… usually tuned to sports channels (sound turned off, thankfully) so guys can watch the big game while they’re toweling off and changing. I was aware, today, that my favorite and usual locker is one that does not have a direct line of sight to any of the screens.  How nice not to have outside temptations trying to draw my attention for at least a small portion of the day.

Not much to say… just a lot to do.  Editing The Tao… The Handbook… and the Quantum Physics article. Then comes the marketing.  Aargh.

Went through some serious meditation and analysis yesterday and realized…  enough already with gaping deeper and deeper inside to uncover more intricacies of the larger picture.  More important for me, at this point, of getting what I’ve already got one out there.  Better that something gets shared with others rather than something greater goes nowhere.  So… final editing and into marketing mode. Good luck.
