Fifty three years ago on this day, Phyllis and I got married.  It hasn’t always been easy… but it has always been worth the effort.  I have often said that there was a question as to whether or not I should have gotten married in the first place… but if I was going to, she was the right one.  She is still weighing the options. Happy anniversary, Moo.

Oh… we’ve never seriously considered divorce.  Murder, yes.  But not divorce.

Very productive day yesterday.  Think I’ll take the day off.  See how long that lasts.

Counting today, 100 days to go till the end of the year and my commitment to do a daily blog.  Have I written anything important?  The depends on what we find years from now when we go through the entries.  Has the commitment, itself, been important? I think so, if it has done anything to change me or get the work out there.  YTBD.

Just back from Hospice Day. Busy…busy…busy. Saw ten patients today and can’t help feeling that what I’m really doing is putting into practice what I am writing about in my philosophy.  “You are not your body,” I tell them.  “You are the spirit inside the body.  Look for the bright lights and follow them and everything will be peaceful and painless.”  Nice to know I am doing something of value.

The talk on New Consciousness and Painless Dying is moving forward. Crossroads will be paying for the site, providing refreshments, aiding in publicity, and receiving a 1/2 hour segment at the start to discuss the physical aspects of the process.  Ever better.

More work on the one pager ‘hook’ to be used to interest people in my work.  It’s been suggested that I try to make contact with a company CEO or celebrity who has had a Death Return Experience.  So here’s what I did.   The focus was George Lucas.

Just filled out a form for the talk I’ll be giving next month on New Consciousness and The Art of Dying Peacefully.  It’s part of a week long discussion in San Francisco on death and dying.  Lots going on. And I’m not even initiating it.  Just participating in those things that the universe is bringing to my attention.  Cool.

Busy morning.  Filling out computer forms for yesterday’s hospice visits… reading an academic paper on communication… trying to write one page summary of my work in response to a request from a friend.  That’s the hardest.  How do I put it all into one page?  Then again, what an important thing to do if I expect to capture someone’s interest.  I’ll let you know what I come up with.
